Mr. Miller has successfully defended hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases. Mr. Miller has extensive courtroom experience conducting jury trials, bench trials, pretrial hearings and negotiating settlements short of trial.

Mr. Miller previously spent more than 4 years as a prosecutor at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. During his time as a Deputy County Attorney, Mr. Miller handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases and evaluated cases through the eyes of a prosecutor. Mr. Miller has extensive experience in criminal matters ranging from civil traffic violations and DUIs to serious, complex felonies involving drugs, violence and fraud.

As a prosecutor Mr. Miller was quickly promoted to a major crimes bureau, where for 2-plus years he specialized in complex cases including white collar crime, vulnerable adult financial abuse and organized crime in the Fraud and Identity Theft Enforcement bureau. As an experienced former prosecutor, Mr. Miller knows that the government must follow strict rules and must present compelling evidence to overcome its significant burden of proof.

Mr. Miller has also worked at a personal injury firm where he specialized in accident injury cases, fighting on behalf of plaintiffs who needed a skilled, aggressive and thorough advocate. Mr. Miller's greatest satisfaction has always been the heartfelt appreciation expressed by his clients after a great case resolution.

Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Miller was an editor of America West Airlines in-flight magazine, where he polished his writing, researching and interviewing skills.

Mr. Miller earned his Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in Business. He then returned to his hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, where he graduated from the Drake University Law School with a certificate in Constitutional Law and Civil Rights.
